I am thinkging of using turbotax this year instead of H&R Block. I would like to know if I need to file 2 state taxes alone with federal. My company takes out both PA and NY state taxes each pay. Plus I am a student so do I get a taxes brake or something.

You are present in NY to work so any income earned while in NY is taxable in NY. You are resident of PA so you must report worldwide income on the tax return. Also claim credit for taxes paid to NY.
