I'm a landlord who won a small claims case against a former tenant of mine but when the court submitted a garnishment letter to her employer they informed the court that she no longer is employed there. When I asked the court for the next step that I needed to take they told me before they can re-issue a letter I must first find out where she's employed.. can you help? I do have a social but no birthday on her

You are encountering the Catch-22 of winning a judgment. Winning is often easier than collecting. Your choice is to hire a PI to track down her employment.

Most judgements, esp smaller ones are never collected, and now you know why. You have to find them, and where they work. So you hire a company to find them, but often it costs more than you are owed
