Yes I think it is, as long as our not using him and you actually love him, I went out with an 18 yr old and I'm 15, but just make sure you don't lead him on, because if you do, it will crush him, trust me. But yeah the heart wants what the heart wants, I believe you can date whoever you want, if you love them, age shouldn't matter :)

Personally I don't think it is allright. There is a very wide gap between your maturity levels and interests at this age. I am very curious as to what a 17 yr old, especially a girl, would have in common with a 14 yr old, especially a boy.
There is also the question of how his parents feel about it. You need their approval.
And, if there is sexual activity involved, it could be illegal.

My nephew was a high school sophomore and had a girlfriend who was a senior. He attended the senior prom as a sophomore. He was more mature than his older girlfriend.
At the end of the school year, she wound up impulsively sleeping with another boy and sahe and my nephew broke up.
A relatively rare case where a pretty young guy is a responsible and attentive young lover.

Correct, "rare case". But I do have to take exception to labeling a high school sophomore as a responsible "young lover". That implies they were sexually active and a sexually active high school sophomore doesn't earn the responsible label from me.
