Hi julie212... welcome to AMHD,
It may be that your period is just off this cycle and will either show up late or you might skip it altogether. Not the norm, but it can happen.
It could be that you are indeed pregnant and the tests just haven't picked it up yet. You could either go to your doctor and have a test done there, or you could wait until next month and see if your period shows at its usual time.

Do be sure you are using the first urnine of the morning, if not, it is not as exact.
But as agreed, it may be your period is just off this month, or you may even miss a month, it does happen.
You can go to the doctor for a test, wait another week or two and test.

Yes but I never skipped a month so its weird to me. I have a son already so I'm just worried. Should I just take another one tomorrow morning or just wait. I'm hoping I am but I just want to know

Odd cycles are just that... odd from our norm. Even when it hasn't happened before, it could happen.
Certainly if you have been trying to become pregnant, and since it is not the norm for you to skip a month, try another test in the morning. If it is negative, wait until next month for that period, or... since I know it would be hard to wait... :) you could see your doctor and ask about having a blood test done.

I have no insurance at the moment so I can't go see a doctor but my period was suppose to come the 6th on a 28 day period. So if I took the test last week wouldn't it still say negative

Most often a positive result will come up as soon as a period is missed if someone is pregnant, but not always. Try another test now that it is has been a bit longer.
If still negative, see what happens when your period would be due next month. It is often suggested to see your doctor after you have missed two periods since it is not unusual for a cycle to be off now and then.
