What is a good home remedy for a dog with arthritis?

I like Glucosamine. It's cheap and works wonders once you get him on a daily routine of it.

Aurora Bell is right. I use a glucosamine/chondroitin/hyaluronic acid product recommended by my vet on my very arthritic horse that, in less than 2 weeks of a loading dose, took him from not being able to put his hind foot on the ground to bucking and running around like a youngster. What I use is a powdered top-dressed supplement called Recovery EQ. The same product (just "Recovery" without the "EQ") is, I believe, available for dogs, cats, and humans. I can't say enough good things about it.
Not every supplement works for every animal (and I had no luck myself with the human version of this one), but it might be worth a try.

I have heard that elk horn pieces work wonders on arthritis
