I wanted to know if it is appropriate for a EEI experiment to be

How accurate are video game physics?

I was planning to drop a item in real life and records its time to fall and final destination, then do the same thing in a video game. (at the appropriate height and for multiple items)

I was thinking to do it in a Vavle (Half life, portal etc.) or a Bethesda Soft works (Fallout 3, Oblivion, Skyrim etc.) game

My question is, Is it going to get good marks, and/or how can I improve it?

What you would probably come up with is an answer to the question.'How accurate or otherwise are the games you have studied?'

I think there would be a problem in answering your initial question, 'How accurate are video game physics?' One could always claim you have only studied a limited sample.

Perhaps you could look at a number of games and come up with an account of which game rates best in terms of certain physics criteria you have investigated.

It's only a suggestion. I would be interested in what others think. The idea itself sounds very interesting.
