My toilet in my apartment was leaking so the landlord pulled it off and we found a huge chunk broken off the top of the pvc drain pipe that is in the floor. He rigged it with a 2" pipe down the inside of the 3" that is there, with a reducer to fit it to the flange. He put a compression gasket on the end of the 2" pipe and shoved it in. The 2" pipe was about a little over 1' long. He chiseled away the 3" pipe about 4" down to fit the reducer in the floor. Now that everything is put back together, the toilet doesn't flush right. It is very slow, with no suction at all. It's our only toilet and it is very frustrating. I am hoping that there is some way other than breaking up the tile and concrete to fix this.
