Count 14 days after the first day of your last period this is said to be the prime time to get pregnant if you are on a 28 day cycle. If you are not on a 28 day, you can also try using ovulation tests, or monitoring your basal body temp. Just try not to obsess over the fact of getting pregnant, I use to say to my girl friends who did obsess "just relax". But now I am in this boat of trying and not getting pregnant too. I think that mine is due to stress. So even though I know that it is hard to relax just try. Good luck to you.

Yes, if you are on a 28 day cycle you count about 14 days from today.

Also, understand that it takes many women up to a year of trying before actually conceiving. You have only been trying for a few weeks.

Let me ask one thing also:

Is your boyfriend wanting a baby too? Or just you?

I don't want to seem judgmental, but this is VERY important.

First I would recommend a pre-conception exam by a health care professional. Just to make sure everything is in perfect working order. Then you can get prenatal vitamins even at Wal-Mart, you can start taking those now. Mind you, it won't help with conception, but will make your body healthier prior to conception.

As far as relaxing, it is all a matter of personal choice what you do. If the gym relaxes you, then by all means go to the gym.

First: It takes up to 1 year of trying to become pregnant for up to 85 percent of couples.

Second: There have been many disappointments with my wife and I, but it is normal. The only way to be. The only way to think. Is when it does happen, It will happen when your not trying so hard. This is very true and was our experience.

Third: The more relaxed you are the better. Go on vacation, and enjoy yourself.

Fourth, which I appologize should have been First: Listen to J9 she knows what she is talking about. It is best to go for a check up make sure everything is in working order. As well as vitamins. Some doctors recommend folic acid and most prenatel vitamins come with folic acid. Prenatals can be started months before planning to conceive. The reason is that folic acid especially aids in prevention of conditions like cerebal palsy and other possible genetic problems.

Good luck with everything.

Any supermarket chain. Here in Canada anyway. Folic acid is always included in the prenatel but depending on your medical history and risk factors some doctors might prescribe more folic acid. Never double up on any vitamins. Too much vitamins can actually harm the baby. That is why it is best to take the prenatel which is best during pregnancy. There are brand names and no name brands. Materna is well known. Pharmacies will defiantly carry them as well.

Good luck.

I take "one source prenatals" its in a white bottle with a pink label.I just got them at walmart, and I have been taking them for 4 months before I got preggy, and the whole going on 7 months that I have been preggy. My doctor told me that the ones from walmart are just as good as any he could perscribe and that they are easier on the stomach, not to mention easier to swallow since they are much smaller. So he told me to just keep taking them. Definitely just take one or the other. Don't take a prenatal AND folic acid unless told to do so by your doc. I would suggest the prenatal because it has lots of other vitamins in it as well as the folic acid, and its all taylored to the amount that should be taken when preggy. (I personally only took 1 pill a day-it says to take two a day for preggys- but that is just because I am a scaredy cat about over dueing the vitamins.)

Over doing vitamins is not good at all. Once a day is good recommendation. Only take the prenatal.

My wife has epilepsy so she was taking both, and in other conditions it is recommended to take more. ONLY IF PRESCRIBED.

Oh! You can find prenatals at any store with a pharmacy/drug/vitamin department. You can always go online to Walmart.com - Always Low Prices! (http://www.walmart.com) but it would probably just be cheaper to go to your local store. I apalogize, didn't know you were in the uk.

can i get them in the uk?

Wal-mart is better known as ASDA in the UK. The best place to go for vitamins in the UK are; Boots and Holland & Barrett.

Good Luck
