Okay,I had two incidents recently that I got tickets for. The first one was for careless driving. The second one got me tickets for no insurance, no registration, and careless driving. I had recently moved so I was having problems with my mail. I received a letter a few days ago saying that I needed to pay the tickets in both townships by the middle of February or I will have my license suspended. Today, I had my license plates run randomly and I had two warrants for my arrest connected to these incidents. I hadn't received anything saying I had a warrant, just the letter about the suspension, so I was shocked.
I posted bail for the amount of both of the incidents. The money for the first incident, which was just careless driving, satisfied the summons and I don't have to go to court. The rest of the money, for the second incident, is serving as a promise to appear in court. I gave the officer the registration at the time, but I didn't realize it was expired. I had insurance on the vehicle at the time, but didn't have the correct insurance card in the car since the new one came. I can get proof of having insurance at the time though before the court date by calling the insurance company. I am wondering if anyone knows what the possible outcomes of that court date are. I live in New Jersey
