I'm trying to figure out the name of a movie that came out around 1998-2000. I don't think it was ever a really popular one I saw it on showtime, HBO or one of those cable movie channels when I was younger. It was about two unpopular girls from Indiana found a rat at a thrift store or something like that and the rat turns into a teenage boy the two girls try to keep him a secret from their school mates and family, until the school dance. But the most popular girl in school finds out about him and wants him as her date to the dance.

The movie is called Ratz, a made for TV movie from 2000.
