I have done a lot of stuff BUT one thing I never done before was take a trans and install it on new motor, So I got the new clutch kit and installed it correctly with watchful eye of a better knower friend. I installed the new throw out bearing on the spline on trans and it's a CABLE driven trans. I then in best word, put the trans onto the engine and secured it onto the engine. After installing both engine and trans, I went to hook up the CABLE for the clutch pedal and the lever where the cable goes to, it didn't budge. Like I tried to pull up on it and it didn't move at all. IS this normal? Or do I need to do something extra to get that lever to move? Like I said, NOOB here as far as trans swap to new engine, so if you understand what I'm talking about, please let me know what I can do to solve or if I'm just forgetting a step. Thanks

That lever isn't going to move much. IIRC, it will only move about an inch.

But when I try to pulll it up what so ever, like the cable would do, It doesn't budge at all. I mean, I pulled hard on it with my arm to see if maybe I could free it up... so what your saying is that it normal... or its normal enough that I should put the clutch cable onto it and then go depress the pedal inside the car and if the thing doesn't budge, THEN I know I have a problem?

It very simply can be hung. Jack up the front of the car, make sure to chok the tires and place car in neutral with e'brake off (a level surface as well) Now, because IIRC your car has a limited slip differential (LSD) you should be able to spin the tires and then, I need you to place the car in first, and attempt to rotate one of the wheels forward.
Possibly TXgreasemonkey can chime in on this.

I see what you are saying, OK, I will definitely check that out for sure! BTW what is IIRC? I will get that done ASAP and get back to you. I have not installed the cv shafts yet because I didn't want to put them on and then have to pull the whole trans down and re-do it all. SO for this, you believe that will hopefully fix a problem if I do in fact have something hung up?
