What is the best hair dye for black hair to make it dark red? And what is the best brand to use?

It's hard to dye over hair that dark, but I've had good results with Feria (http://www.lorealparisusa.com/_us/_en/default.aspx#/?page=top{userdata//d+d//|diagnostic|main:brandpage:feria|media:_blank|nav| overlay:_blank}) by L'Oreal. Their Chocolate Cherry gives a nice purple-red that will fade to auburn (this is the only shade I have experience with using), but they offer several other shades as well that would offer a more natural red. Reds fade quickly, so I'd purchase a high-end shampoo/conditioner combo to help maintain color. If you want a brighter, truer burgundy, you may need to lighten your hair first. When all else fails, ask your stylist what they'd do! :)

Thank you, I'm going to try that and see if it works :)
