How do I get out of safe mode on my desktop?

Reboot the computer. It should not go to Safe Mode on its own.

It will not go into safe mode on its own, unless you have configured it that way using the msconfig utility. If you find this is the case, click start and run msconfig and on boot tab, uncheck the option that says safe boot
