Hi there, last night I literally NO LIE had HALF of a teaspoon of vodka. I haven't had anything to drink in a few months.. and I had HALF a teaspoon and because I was tempted yesterday to drink I actually dumped out my parents vodka. Well Today I had to give a ua/blood. Do you think that will show up?
Again-I will say I had half of a teaspoon-NOTHING more.
Thank you

No it will not. The amount of alcohol would be below the level of detection for any test even immediately following consumption. In addition that amount would be completely metabolized during first pass... minutes.

Awesome! Then I should not have ANYTHING to worry about! :) Good thing I dumped out the booze because I was tempted to take a full shot.. but I didn't thank god because I knew it wasn't the right thing to do!

Im confused though, if I literally had half of a teaspoon... then for some people whyw ould they test positive if they've had 3 shots after 40 hours ?

Three shots would, for instance, raise blood alcohol to about .06. Concentrated alcohol, greater amounts, are metabolized differently than very small amounts. When talking about 1/2 teaspoon, that amount would be oxidized in your stomach by alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) or in what is known as first pass metabolism (FPM).
