Reaction of hexanal with oxygen? Is it possible?

Although we usually use the more normal oxidizing agents to do this, it only requires a very gentle touch. Ag+ (Tollen's reagent) Cu+2 (Fehling's & Benedict's solutions) and just O2 in the air can do it.
Aldehydes are exquisitly easy to oxidize.

Can you give me the chemical equation?

A reaction like this is often shown simply as: RCHO --[O]--> RCO2H.
Mechanisticly it's a free radical reaction and must involve removal of the acyl H atom, addition of O2, etc, etc.
