I have a Carrier Furnace and a Honeywell CT3200 Programmable thermostat, about 5 years old.
I have it set on Auto and Hold Temp 72 degrees
The furnace quit working a few days ago. The only way to get the unit started again was to reset, turn off and then turn on again, the power at the furnace.
I replaced the batteries, using brand name alkaline, in the thermostat, and the unit continued to work fine for 2 more days. Now the problem has returned, only with a twist.
Now the unit will cycle just fine for 3 or 4 hours, then need to be reset.
Is it my thermostat?
