I want to know more about Emphysema & whether it could kill, I recently found out that my dad has emphysema as well as bladder cancer, he has smoked for 35 years and will not give up,I've been really upset about it as I'm only 15 so would like to know a little more about it.

It is able to be controlled by O2 and medication, but it can effect not how long he lives, but how well he lives, it can stop him from a lot of physcial activity and latter may have to travel with a 02 tank to help breath.

Emphysema is also known as Chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). There is no cure for it, but there's a lot of things you can do to relieve symptoms of it.
-Don't smoke
-Ask doctor about inhaler
-Walk to build up strength
-Avoid very cold air
It is sometimes/rarely fatal, but can be managed and reduced.
