Why does my 16 year old daughter become violent during her period?

If she is physcially violent it sounds like an anger management issue. Does she have undue pain, problems with her period.
Could it be habit when she is in a bad mood, she has been allowed to express anger and be violent.
What medical checks has been done with her.

She had her check up in November and everything was fine. She has always been angry during her period; a few days before she gets the "nesting" effect (cleaning) and the next day she gets angry (no one can say a thing to her without an outburst from her). THis has been getting worse for the last few months.

It's just hormones, pms can make 16 year old girls total *****es, believe me, I am one. Mood swings during that time of the month are normal.
