Hi there everyone. My husband tried the ring on a necklace test on me a week ago. When he placed the ring over my belly it immedietely went in large circles. The circles have been getting larger and faster every day. We tried the test on my daughter, Mother and... yes... even my hubby and 'nothing'. The ring stood completely still for them. I have been very nauseous day & night for the past few days. I am also feeling light cramping for the past 3 days. I am tired lately and a little irritable. I feel I already know my answer, but what are your thoughts on the probability that I am pregnant? Thanks so much for your thoughts. My lmp was Nov. 30th, we had unprotected sex on Dec. 4th, 6th, 12th, 14th & 15th. My next period would be due on Dec. 28th. I am always regular. Thanks for your help. Anonymous.

It's an old wives tale and has no biases in fact.
The only sure way is a test, either urine or blood.

Thanks for your input. I agree. I had never even heard of the test before last week! I just have so many other symptoms. I feel I know.. but until it's officially confirmed, the waiting really can get to a woman, you know what I mean? I will wait and see if I am in fact late, then I will go to the Dr's and get the blood and urine done. Thank you.

I've heard of that Old Wive's Tale for determining gender, not IF you are pregnant or not.
Based on the dates, if fertilization occurred, the egg would have only implanted around this time (7-10 past after ovulation). Symptoms are rarely felt before a missed period--often not until 7 weeks along or more.

Some cultures believe that the test tells you if you are... they say the ring will only swing and or circle if you are in fact pregnant, the gender test would not work if you were not pregnant. That is what I've heard, not really sure how accurate it really is. I will just wait it out. I have other children so this is nothing new, it has just been a while that's all. I can remember feeling different with all of my pregnancies and had symptoms quite early with all 3 of them, before the actual missed period. Time will tell, that is the one thing that 'is' for sure. Thanks so much for all of your feedback.

First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone! Yesterday (Christmas Day), the dull achey cramps continued and I started to spot pink. I am NEVER early... always regular and yesterday is 3 days before my expected period. The spotting has continued since 3:30pm yesterday. Very light, no clotting, only 'staining' of the tissue (sorry for the description, but want to be honest). Usually on my regular flow date, it is strong, very heavy with severe cramping (I always need a Tylenol and the flow is always very heavy with clotting and definitely requires a tampon or pad.) This 'new' style spotting is very dull with light cramps and only 'stains' the tissue like I said. I have not worn a pad, liner or tampon or taken one aspirin or Tylenol the entire time. I will wait until the 28th comes and goes (expected date of AF) and then take a blood test at the Dr's. Has anyone else had this happen? All of my previous pregnancies did not happen this way. I know everyone is different. Would really like to hear other experiences. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
