My daughter is 15, her lymph nodes have been swollen for 5 months. We went to the doctor, he said try a warm wash cloth. Recently she discover a hard marble sized not on the back left upper side of her neck. We went back to her doctor, he gave her amox 500mg for 3 times a day, for 7 days. She took them, the lymph nodes are still swollen. I'm thinking lymphoma of the neck? Helpful answers, opinions are GREATLY appreciated!

Have you gone to an ENT ? Ear Nose and Throat specialist for her problem? Does she have any jewlery allergies? Is there any cosmetic applications she is using that may cause an allergic reaction ?

no ENT yet, She isn't allergic to anything. It worries me that they would stay swollen for so long. All she does is sleep, she'll wake up about 3 in the afternoon, sometimes later then that, but she's in bed before midnight. She's currently homeschooled. She has severe headaches, but so do I so I over looked that. Im not sure what it could be I'm honestly puzzled... I think the doctor is to. He hasn't don't a MRI, X-ray, or a biopsy. Just medication that hasn't helped.

Quite honestly its time to level up with this before it becomes too chronic. If standard treatment isn't working then I would seek an ENT that may have a better idea. I also wouldn't rule out allergies of some kind. They lymph system is a way of fighting off infection or can be from a reaction that is artificial.

Get her checked out to be sure.

She has took anitbiotics, that elemenates infections. She's been checked for mono, strep throat. etc. Unless, it is a problem with her lymphnetic system, were all clueless! She is however going back to the doctor tomorrow. Ill keep you updated, if I get any answers, but still ANY help is good, and appreciated. Godbless.
