I know it sounds far fetched but the other day my best friend slept over we fell asleep around two and I do talk in my sleep but she said around 3 I started acting weird. She said my eyes were wide open, and I told her the fish was going to get eaten by a dolphin and I told her the fish was her. Oddly dolphins are my favorite animal and I had told her she reminded me of a fish one time. She the told me she had fallen back asleep and had a dream I was screaming her name and I was in her face and when she woke up I was in her face eyes wide open and then slammed her head in to the wall so hard there is now a bump. She also told me at one point I stood up and just stood there and when she told me lay back down I said No. I also turned off my computer which I leave on to play my music which I need in order to fall asleep otherwise I get scared because I sometimes hear things at night or see stuff. She said I walked down stairs and stared at the people sleeping, my brothers friends most of them I don't know well and I didn't like them there cause my brother wasn't even home. After that I apparently went to the bathroom and then I went and laid back down completely still eyes wide open. She didn't sleep the rest of the night and when I woke up she was laying back down and I turned back on my music n fell back asleep. Normally I would say she was over reacting but as of the few past weeks and randomly before I will wake up and my music is turned off for no reason. She says I normally do weird things in my sleep but never like this, and only at my house. She said I sleep with my eyes open a lot and talk like I'm awake but but only at my house as she ever noticed it as extremely and I have no memory of anything she told me, none. As far as I knew I slept threw the night. Not only am I scared because that's not normal but also my friend can apparently see ghost most the people on her moms side can and one time she told me she thought there was a demon in my room and I had some what believed her cause I've see things and just gotten terrified at night hence the music playing. She told me one time when I was asleep and she was awake on my computer she saw a demon and he was staring at her and moving closer to me on the side of my bed. I am truly scared I sincerely think this is not a weird case of sleep walking. I need help knowing if I need to worry please help me!

It sounds to me like you sleepwalk.

At any rate - turn on a tape recorder when you go to sleep and see what you record. You can always speak to a clergyperson if you think you are possessed.

Could be a sleep issue... could be a spirit.

What music do you listen to when you go to sleep? What do you see and hear if you do not listen to music? How old are you? Have you discussed these problems with a parent?

It doesn't sound to me like you are actively possessed... but that doesn't mean something isn't influencing you in your sleep. This does need some looking into.

Do you take anything to help you sleep? Many sleep aids can have adverse affects and can be exactly as you describe.

Many people sleep with their eyes open, It does look strange but is more common than one thinks
Sleep walking and talking is very very common, my wife says some of the silliest things at night, makes no sense at all.

As for actions, some sleep walk and act out their dreams.

The music I play at night often is the same I play in the day I listen to almost everything and I have a playlist strictly for sleeping it's a mix of alterintive, pop, mostly rock and some soft rap. I don't take any meds before I go to sleep even though I have a hard time falling asleep most the time. I have not talked with my dad because he will think I'm just over reacting. When I don't listen to music I just remember hearing stuff falling or moving but when I wake up nothing is wrong and seeing I just saw shadows moving across my walls, my window is completely blacked out with the curtains I have, so nothing gets in at night shadow wise. I don't remember many details because I've been listening to music in my sleep for years but as of this year, since the summer its been truing off in my sleep the way I explained.

Madi Dreaming,

Firstly, welcome to this great site!

Somnambulism is a common disease, in which the people walk as they sleep. You must have read about sleep-walking scene in Shakespeare's famous play Macbeth.

Nothing to worry about, dear! From your last post, I conclude you are neither medi-driven nor spirit-driven. Usual case of sleepwalk.

Good luck!

I wouldn't sounds so sure quite yet. Medically or spiritually speaking, this is something you need to investigate until it is figured out. I would hate for you to hurt yourself or others during a sleep episode. Also, if it is a spirit, I would also hate for that thing to remain around you. Either way, these needs to be checked out further.

You can, can you? What if she's only sleepwalking? What if she sleepwalks and falls down stairs or winds up hurting someone? This was some poor advice really. She needs to make sure there is not a medical problem first because if there is, sleeping with a bible will not cure her problem.

I agree with that statement all around. Even from a "Christian" point of view it is dangerous and inaccurate. Superstition at best Tommy.

Have you looked into sleep therapy yet?

Hays, yes... I knew that wasn't right when I typed it,but since I'm using a mobile device I didn't feel like correcting it.
