My ex-h pays $25 a month on child support. I got my first check. After today it will directly deposited.
I saw some place that it is non-taxable for me. Is that true?
I know $25 a month stinks but at least it's something lol

Child support is not taxable for the recipient and not deductible for the payer.

Actually it depends on what type of child support it is under. If its family support that has child support in it then it is taxable. If it is interest on arrears it is taxable. If it is straight child support then it is nontaxable.

Well I am glad I didn't have to and anyway he ended up only paying $50 since September and for $25 a month I decided not to go back to court. Not worth it.
Besides with my business I don't need it anymore anyway
