When I start the car, it run well for a long time ( for hours ). If I stop for 20 minutes, it will restart but with no accelaration power and run well only on idle. This problem will last for 10 to 20 second. If the engine get cold, it goes well. What could be the problem. I also a code# 1457

Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil inside the distributor. Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the new ICM.

P1457--EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Control Canister System). Check hoses.

Now that I know it's a 2002 Acura EL (Canada), my previous advice to replace the ICM and coil is not valid. Instead, I would focus on the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor. The thermistor inside sometimes fail or it becomes corroded, due to not changing the coolant frequently enough. It is supposed to deliver a rich mixture of fuel, when the engine is cold, and a lean mixture of fuel, when the engine warms up. Sometimes, they screw-up and don't lean the fuel mixture, when the engine warms up. I would also clean the throttle plate, throttle body, and upper and lower ports. Ensure the spark plugs (NGK only) have been changed in the last 3 years.
