Recently a coworker male who is 15 years younger (he is 36) has been showing interest in me by hanging around my desk, flirting by email and running into me wherever I might be. We have had lunch a couple of times and the attention is very flattering. I feel somewhat motherly towards him but that veers off to sexual attraction which I think he shares. Should I pursue this or forget it. We are single and I have grown children. We enjoy each others company but I can't decide if he is looking for a mother (he lost his) or a friend or a sexual partner? What should I do?

Workplace affairs rarely work out because once the attraction wears off, then the proximity of both turns into an uncomforfable situation. I would have to say, keep it at a friendly level, or it will be nothing but trouble.

Affair at work is always a tricky thing. It's very nice while it lasts, but when it's over then can be very uncomfortable in the presence of that person.

Interesting that answers are more based on workplace issue than the age difference. That kind of surprises me?

Probably because age difference between mature consenting adults doesn't raise red flags anymore.
