I recently rescued a 9 month old siberian husky.. and I can't get her to eat her dry dog food.. I called the shelter and picked up the same kind of food they gave her there.. I've tried putting chicken gravy made for dogs on it and she still turns her nose up... I know shell eat because she ate pieces of chicken kids dropped on the floor.. and she loves bacon snacks... I thought maybe it might be the transition of homes.. I put her food out 3 times a day and give her 15 minutes to eat it... still to no avail.. and the vet checked her before she left the shelter... 4 days ago.. thanks for help in advance

She will eat eventually. She's learning her way around your house and has figured out that there are tasty morsels dropped on the floor. You don't have to buy special add ins either. I add people food instead of canned dog food or dog gravy. The supermarket stuff is garbage and the pet store canned food is expensive, but a good quality kibble is the biggest part of the diet and should be the best. I use a small amount of meat/chicken/fish leftovers with fresh green veggies in it.

Oh, and just put the tasty stuff on top so you don't have to throw out a whole bowl of kibble mixed in when it gets moldy. Let her eat the food on top and leave the dry kibble.
