Misdemeanor charges and charges pl-240.20-07 violation, are they the same?

NY PL 240.20.07 (if that is the State) is disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

It would be charged as a misdemeanor. It wouldn't be charged as a summary defense - again, if that is the question.

Although some are considered a summary offense, not sure why I said defense, been up too long...
