A couple of months ago our dryer stopped working/drum wouldn't turn. It had beeen sqeaking for several months prior to the drum stopping. Guy came and replacced the belt. It still squeaked. He said it was from the previous belt deteriorating and that it would get better over time. It did not, in fact it is now so horribly loud that you can hear it from the neighbors yard. Sears is sending someone back out (thru american homeshield)for a recall visit. Logic says that all that needed to be repaired wasn't the first time. I don't want the new person to say it's a completely new issue and charge us another service call fee. Any thoughts on what it could be. Is there something to the "previous belt deteriorating" theory. It seems like if the area was cleaned up enough during the repair this would eliminate this problem. Need some expert opinions here...
