Has anyone had any luck replacing a relay on a Goodman B18099-06 board?
I have 2 units and both have the same board.
One of the boards started failing last winter. Intermittently would cycle.
Now the relay responsible for the first click to turn on the induced draft motor is not doing so; no click.
New boards are $80 to $120.
I have found the same relays for less than $3, so I'm thinking a little time and a soldering gun will save me 80 bucks...

Board relays are not to be replaced. The manufacturer won't even do it. Any problems with boards require complete board replacement. I know, it sucks, but that's the way it is.

That being said, feel free to try soldering in a new relay, but know that you may create a safety issue. If the furnace decides to blow up, or burn down the house due to your efforts, that would be a shame for sure. I would suggest buying the new board. You will sleep much easier. Some things just aren't built to be repaired, (like I said, it sucks. Why in the heck don't they make the relays and simple components of the baord replaceable,, oh yeah, they wouldn't get rich that way, right?)
