My fiancˇ and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 5 months. My periods were usually on the 28 day cycle, came on time, and started heavy ending light and lasted 6-7 days. In October my periods started coming any where from 3-7 days early, lasting 4-5 days, started light, got heavier, then ended light. In October I also started noticing pregnancy symptoms but ignored them since I had my period. Its now December and I am still having irregular periods and am noticing more symptoms. I have nausea, light vomiting, fatigue, frequent urination, increase vaginal discharge, tender breasts, nipple discoloration, the veins in my breasts have become more noticeable, I have gone up a cup size, lost 11 pounds and am now starting to gain a few pounds as I have gained a small appetite. I have been very emotional, experiencing constipation, food cravings, food adversions, irritability, and sensitivity to smell. I have taken around 8 home pregnancy tests (first response and walmart brand) one I thought had a faint positive and the rest were negative so I just ignored it due to the negative tests and having my period. But its now December and I'm still feeling symptoms and having irregular periods. I was wondering if it is possible that I am pregnant or if I am just imagining things.

It would be unusual for a pregnancy test not to pick it up by this stage, but some women have found it takes several weeks. If you are certain that you have used the tests correctly, I would consider seeing your doctor. They will do another urine test in the office and possibly a blood test as well.

As for the bleeding, some women will have light bleeding in early pregnancy, often thinking it is their period. With the irregular bleeding, along with the other possibly symptoms, best to have it checked.

Fingers crossed!
