Can you please show me how to find the number of moles of oxygen that are needed to form 6 mol of Fe203? I got the balanced chemical equation for Fe203. I think it is right 4Fe 302------2Fe203 so there is 4 moles of iron, 3 moles of oxygen makes 2 moles of iron oxide. But how do I get six moles? Will you show work so I understand? Thank-You, I am trying to help my daughter. Laurie

You simply multiply all the numbers in the equation :) Like this:

4Fe + 3O_2 \rightarrow 2Fe_2O_3

Multiply everything by 3:

12Fe + 9O_2 \rightarrow 6Fe_2O_3

Does that make things easier? :)
