Recently learned someone did cocaine. They whipped out the dollar bill that was used to do it. It had no remnants of drugs on it and he was a good 4 feet away from me when showing it to me. Now I am paranoid thinking what if there was like a tiny grain somewhere in the dollar that magically flew through the air? I even covered my face with my shirt before he showed me. I was just nervous since I've never met anyone who's done that. Keep in mind I already have anxiety and this just makes it worse LOL. I'm a bit of a worrier:/ someone please bring me closure.
I know it sounds silly but I'm just worried:/

You don't have anything to worry about.

Relax, unless you enhaled a quantity, or enough got on your skin that you could feel, you are fine.

I tried cocaine just once in about 1977. A thin line 2" long at most and I inhaled it through a straw. I got a post nasal drip right away, and other than not feeling particularly sleepy a little later when I went to sleep, I felt nothing. The drip lasted about 12 hours.
I suppose it could have been cut a lot, but I don't think so, because my roommate did some too.
I really think that one or even 100 little motes of coke would have no effect on anyone.

You may have a touch of OCD more than paranoia. Make a list: what you were wearing, what he touched, and wash or clean them, and check off your list. Do you still feel worried? Join a OCD or regular therapy group.

Thank you for this help. I really do feel a lot better about this. I am a still bit on edge but much better. And to joypulv, I do have a bit of OCD too. I am currently overcoming it with cognitive therapy and telling myself that these are just intrusive thoughts that hold no weight. It's just the drug part really terrified me because it really is serious!
