Sorry you totally misunderstand, once you were picked up for a violation of your probation and a hold put on you. ( assume you are in jail for something else and the hold is to bring you back after you are released from jail)
But that hold stays in effect since your violation happened while on probation, and you can be held pending possible violation. So no you are not off probation till this is final, and may even have your probation revoked because of the prior event.

No. When you're picked up on a PO hold, your probation stops tolling. That means the days you spend in jail DON'T count towards your release.

No, your probation stops then and there. Only after your VOP hearing does your probation start again and then only if the judge orders it to. You sit in jail until the hearing. The judge may give you more probation, jail time, etc. but your original probation is now null and void and your original release date means nothing.
