I asked a friend to go "hangout" with me about a week ago (we've known each other for about 2 months). She somehow figured out that I wanted to date her, and she accepted.
It was going well at first. She was the one who held my hand first, and when we went to a private area, she aggressively turned toward me and made out with me (yes, it was the "real deal" sort of make out). She also forcibly placed my arm around her so that we would be very close. Her head was resting on my shoulder for a while. I didn't initiate ANYTHING at all, she did everything. She took it way faster than I would have done. But overall it went well (In my eyes anyway, a mutual friend later told me that she thought it was extremely awkward when she was the one who initiated everything in the first place).
Two days later in one of our classes, she acts like I'm not there. Although she first reluctantly waved at me when I first saw her. Other than that, no contact, although I was subconsciously staring at her (I dun goofed here, I'll admit it. Mutual friend told me that it creeped her out a bit). I tried talking to her after class, but she answered one of my questions very curtly and didn't acknowledge my second one at all (I don't remember what it was, probably something irrelevant or normal). She then turned around and left without another word.
However, my mutual friend is telling me that she is still interested in me and still thinks that I'm good looking. My mutual friend is also friends with her best friend (confusing, I know). The "she's still interested after the first date" part came from her best friend.
What the heck is going on here? Either someone is lying or messed up the details, because these two sources of information clearly contradict each other.
I came up with a few conclusions;
1. She changed her mind about liking me for whatever reason, and doesn't want to look like a jerk so she fed my mutual friend a bull**** cover story
2. She is still genuinely interested in me
3. I was just her confidence booster for our first date, and doesn't want to deal with me anymore
Being my usual pessimistic self, I think 1 and 3 are likely. Although my sister said that when girls like guys (especially after first dates and stuff), they will ignore the guys.
I honestly don't know what to think. If it turns out that she wasn't genuinely interested in me from the beginning, I will give her a piece of my mind (not literally), since she robbed me of a meaningful first kiss.
