So this is a pretty obscure question, but it has been plaguing me for a number of years. There was this movie I used to watch on t.v. all the time when I was younger and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called. The problem is, the only distinguishing feature I can for certain remember about the film was that whenever the evil villain's name was said (some evil lord of some sort) it would thunder. Beyond that I have vague recollections of it being a live action film involving a boy journeying across this land, possibly meeting up with some character under a mountain, and culminating in a tower of sorts, but I can't be certain. I know this is somewhat vague but any direction as to the answer to this mystery would be appreciated.

I think this one may actually be the almost-as-popular Mio and the Land of Faraway. I haven't seen it myself, but a review on Amazon has this to say:
"Enter the evil villain, KATO! Every time his name is spoken, a fierce and scary wind blows from somewhere offscreen. The effect is so comical, I guarantee you will find yourself repeatedly faux-intoning "KA-TO! " after watching the film."

It's definitely "The Land of Faraway!" This movie is definitely one of my all-time favorites! Whenever Kato's name is said, that's when the thunder and wind starts up. It's a wonderful movie... I highly recommend it if you're lucky enough to find a copy and see it!
