I never like the fact that an ex-partner can be so happy without you... As a person I really really struggle to deal with that... I guess its cause I find it so difficult to move on...

I just don't know how to deal with it; it feels like deceit of our time together... Yet when I have finished them I don't feel that way...

Hurt Pride I guess... It is still so hard to handle... no matter the time scale...

I always feel as though I should be on a higher ground and that they should be missing me, have regret that we finished and thoughts of wanting to be with me above who they have settled down with and had kids to...

Anybody ever felt the same or had such issues dealing with these feelings?

Yes, I honestly say I have. It's only being perfectly human to love and be in love. Missing someone after an end of a relationship is not unusual. It does take time to heal. Feelings and maybe hurt that you may be going through. But if this guy can move on with his life, so should you. Try not to let his behavior run your life. Go out and get something out of your life. He is waisting your precious time worrying about the fun he's having and the fact he is not affected about the breakup. Go out with some of your friends. Go to the spa. Get a massage. Get a manicure. Do something to reward yourself. Show this guy you don't give a d*** and that your enjoying life.

Yeah, pride, ego, and hurt feelings and disappointment make you feel that way, but the good news is if you go about being happy doing your thing without them, the feelings fade.

The busier you are, the quicker they are forgotten. I always figured it was fun while it lasted, but now that its over, why be mad?

I think it's totally natural to feel a bit jealous of someone who has found someone other than you, and I think people tend to compare their relationship to their ex-partner's new relationship. If it didn't work out, it probably wasn't meant to be. But what you can do, if you still care for that person, is try to be happy that they are happy, and look at it in a positive way. Also, don't look at relationships like competition as far as "whose was better" just for the sake of comparing.
