All I can think of is a play on gingersnap cookies (breaking, snapping).
And like can mean similar to or enjoy/appreciate.
Ginger wouldn't have a capital G for cookies, however.

So I am as puzzled as you are. What context is this in? Have you asked it here exactly as it was written?

When I have heard the term "ginger" used it is referring to a red headed person...
