I have an 02 honda civic si and it will not start. I drove it to work yesterday and after work it wouldn't go. All the lights and everything came on and someone tried to boost the battery and there was a spark but wouldn't start. A friend popped the hood and banged on the started and it started. I drove it home and shut off the engine and immediately tried to start it again and it will not turn over. There is no noise or anything when I turn the key back but everything else turns on. Please help

Remove and fully charge, or replace, the battery. My bet is it's almost dead. Starter motors require much more amperage than lights.

If the problem persists, disconnect the negative. Battery cable and clean the battery cable connections and the connections going to the starter motor. Replace the starter motor, if it still doesn't crank.
