I had a Moen pullout kitchen faucet installed in April and I've had a rancid plastic taste and smell coming from the faucet since then. I have not noticed the foam many mention but until you let the water run for about 20 seconds before using, you can't drink it, wash your hands or make coffe... all leave a horrible taste. I called our city water department and they came out and tested the water, and the water tested fine, so since it's only the kitchen faucet, it has to be that tubing. I am calling Moen tomorrow and I'm glad I read all of your experiences so I'm aware they know about the problem. I paid a plumber $135 to hook this thing up which I'm sure they won't cover. I've had a pull out faucet for years and never had this problem, but it wasn't Moen and it was installed probably 10 years ago. I thought too that tubing was probably from China.

Hi HAGfan and welcome to the Plumbing pageat at AskMeHelpDesk.com. You piggybacked on an a 2 1/2 year old thread so I gave you one of your own. In the future, before you post look in the upper left hand corner for the date.
Thank you for the update. Moen is good about replacements. Please keep us informed of future developments. Good luck, Tom
