Hello, so 2 days before my period was spouse to start I noticed some light bleeding, this lasted for less then a day,on the day my period was due I took a hpt and it was eng I am now 4 days late on my period, could I be pregnant?

Possibly, but wait another week and see if your period is just late. If still no period, try another test. Be sure to follow the directions carefully. If still negative, see what happens when you are due for a period the next month as you may just be having an off cycle. If you feel that you start to have other possible symptoms of pregnancy before that time, you could always try another test or see your doctor.
