And the only person who could calm you down won't answer their phone?
I haven't got meds or anything.

In regards to Fr Chucks question... it is not known WHAT triggers Panic Attacks. I have suffered from Panic disorder for over 40 years and only got it under control about 18 years ago. It is something in the makeup of brain chemistry. I take Paxil and it has changed my life. Learning about Panic Disorder and learning how to live with it is key to survival from the helpless feelings it creates. A good therapist with experience in Anxiety and Panic is the first step .

Also, to the OP, stop and start taking very deep slow breaths. This will start to calm you down and bring you back to the reality of having an attack. The typical attack only lasts a few minutes but can seem like hours. Try to find another person who you can confide in for that "shoulder to lean on". See a therapist and talk to you doctor about this. It CAN be life threatening. Good Luck
