For some reason I suddenly recall reading a children's book growing up in the UK in the 1960s. I can only remember it vaguely but it's driving me mad. It was about a boy who found a mirror with handles on the frame in an antique shop. When the handles were pressed, something happened to the mirror. I recall an element of danger, but that is all. If anyone anywhere has the slightest idea what I am talking about and could help me find this book, I would be very grateful.

I've done a bit of searching but can't figure out this one. Please call or visit your public library and ask a children's librarian about this. There are databases and print resources to identify even older children's book. And please post again here if you find out the title.
