Hello
I am looking for lighting in a women's fitting room. The room is approximately 5x5 and the ceiling is open. I was thinking if installing a fluorescent cantalever that hangs over the room. I was told fluorescent gives the best lighting for a dressing room? And is the cantalever the way to go.
Thank you

Not sure what you mean with a "cantelever light". If the ceiling is open, hang the light with chains or wire.

For a high end or someone that wants a quality lighting, it is the way to go.

Arrowlinear Cont. Linear Fluorescent-Cantilever (http://www.cooperindustries.com/content/public/en/lighting/products/indoor_ceiling_wall_mount_lighting/wall_mount/_187181.html)

Technically the lamp should be the color the wardrobe would look best. If indoors use 3500 degrees Kelvin color, if outdoors use daylight lamp 5000K.

Follow the mounting instructions carefully, distance below a ceiling of at least 80% reflectance is crucial.

If this is for a public or store, I would reconsider, ripe for vandalism damage.

Great that was one of the fixtures I researched. You agree the fluorescent lighting will warm the room and give a nice soft light?

Yes.
