I live in VA and my ex lives in GA. He filed a motion of warrant in GA for harassment via email and phone. I have never called him on the phone, and I did email him after he stole some things from my shed. I have been ordered to show up in GA as he is trying to convict me and have me arrested. Please advise if there is a real pollisbility of me being charged and arrested and how can I protect myself? What should I do?

... What should I do?

Speak with an attorney.

Hire an attorney in GA to review all of the evidence he is using in court. In Georgia, if the DA will not indict you, they can take and file in court for a warrant. In this hearing, he will have to show proof of the crime.

Email is one method of harassment. If he saved all the emails, and had record of telephone calls, he can try.
