I have a 1995 whrilpool dishwasher and its been a great one. It needs repaired. My husband is very handy so he ordered a pump and timer online. They sent the pump and charged us for the timer too but didn't send the timer. When my husband contacted them they said the timer is discontinued and now we can't find one. The store we bought our dishwasher from says the same and that it does not cross reference. Any suggestions for a timer? ;)

12 years is a long time and you may be forced to say good bye to an old friend. I'd give the internet another 1/2 hour of searching before I give up.

I would beat the bushes further starting with ads in your question. Many of the newer dishwashers, maybe all have fancy digital controls that there is no fixing when they go bad.

If it is the motor that is bad in the timer, you may be able just replace it. Check used appliance stores too.
