Hi, I have just turned 25 and have had a letter to go for a smear test. I have slept with one guy once only, do I need a smear test?

Yes - it checks for abnormalities which could lead to cancer. It has very little to do with how many partners you've had sex with, other than risk factors.

Agreed, it is not about STD and sexual issue but general health. Are you not doing at least annual check ups?
