I got my ears pierced in August and waited just over 2 months (longer than the 6 weeks I was told to wait) before changing them and putting new ones in for the first time which I did last Sunday. However, my new earrings were annoying me and kept catching my hair all the time so I decided to change them again yesterday.
I took my right earring out and it hurt a bit bit I didn't think anything of it and then I took my left earring out which didn't hurt at all and cleaned both ears. I then went to put my right earring back in but I could only get it through half way so I pushed quite hard a few times however it just wouldn't go through (as if the hole had closed at the back in a matter of minutes) but it was hurting me so I stopped. I then felt the back of both my ears where the piercing hole is and on my left ear I felt a small bump (which is normal as I felt it the first time I changed my earrings too), however on my right ear the bump is larger, red and a bit sore to touch/put pressure to.
I don't know if the larger bump was already there and that's why it hurt to take my earring out or if I caused it by pushing quite hard with my earring to try and get it through?
Should I just leave my hole to close up and heal and then get it pierced again or should I just try to re-pierce my hole fully by pushing my earring through with more force?
Though I don't want to cause the bump to pop or something, or to cause an infection?
