d. the object can be a noun.
a. true (e.g. Joe Bloggs eats a cake)
b. false - nouns can't be the predicate (although predicates can CONTAIN a noun)
c. false (How can a sentence be an object? If you mean every sentence must have an object, then it's still false since there's no object if the verb is intransitive.)
d. true (same example as a)
