I am adding a corner shower to a small bathroom. The only place to put it is far corner away from the plumbing. Can I run the drain and water lines through th floor joist, i.e. use a hole saw through several joist, so that I can get to the existing plumbing?

Depends on how big the joists are and how big the holes will be. Can you run then under the joist? Part of the issue is that to get the slope for the drain, you may have to cut the joist in an area where you shouldn't. What size drain line, how far from the shower to where you want to connect and what about the venting?

Hi guys!

Answer all of Ma0641's questions and we'll see what we can think up here.

Also, check to see if wet venting is allowed in your area and see if you can see if the sink vent is 1.5" or 2" pipe... could save you some time and money if you have 2" and wet venting is allowed, OK?
