My husband had dinner tonight with his ex-wife's niece. He and his ex-wife were married 22 years, the niece is 41, we have been married 18 years. Is this too weird?

No? Why do you feel it is?

Unless you explain other wise, his ex's niece is also his niece if even by marriage.

Many people stay friends with their ex and their family.
My ex's family, her mom and dad are still my mom and dad ( or they were to the day they died) I still visit with nieces and nephews , nothing wrong at all.

How long ago did they divorce? Has he kept in touch with her through the years?

I don't find anything unusual or weird about it either. He would have been married to her biological aunt for most of her early life if not all of it. Even if they didn't keep in touch regularly through the years, it would not be uncommon for them to reconnect now especially if Facebook is involved.

I am curious about why you have the title 'my salesman husband' and why this is posted in Adult Sexuality. Do you have concerns that this dinner was more than old family members catching up?

I also don't understand the "salesman husband" title - unless there's some implication that he's a smooth talker.

I see nothing weird about this. I remained friends with my ex-husband's family. Nothing weird or freaky there.
