You can't even take the test until you are 16 in some states. And even when you get a license do you have a plan to get on your parent's insurance policy or have the money to get your own car insurance? You go down to the DMV and get a current copy of their Driver's Handbook. This will give you the basics of what the written test will be based on. Study it carefully. As for road work in a car after you get your learner's permit, you need a car and a licensed driver to accompany you at all times. And you will need a car with proof of insurance on it to be able to take the road test in.

Driver ed is different in all countries and you are on an international site, so basically we have to know where you live. In Ontario it is Young Drivers' of Canada and yes all driver educatiion costs. Generally speaking, you sign up for a course, take classroom education and when you complete that you go out on the road with an instructor. When you finish your course, the course instructor takes you for the road test that you have made an appt. for.

You purchase an instruction booklet at any Department of Motor Vehicles, then you take a written test to obtain your temporary license. In most cases it is zero tolerance, so if you fail once, you take it again until you get it right.

Without knowing where you are this is impossible to answer.

In many States you need parental consent.
